MUTTON - GOULD STREET DEMOS

Label:     not on a label

Seven raw and filthy songs that recall the classic sound of early '90s noise-rock. Bands like Feedtime, Venom P. Stinger or Jesus Lizard come to mind while listening to these recordings.

PROM NITE - DANCING TO THIS BEAST LP

Label:     Barfbag
Year:      2017
Country: Canada

A true winner record. Fuckin' brilliant punkrock from Toronto. For fans of The Liquids, Booji Boys or The Coneheads. Twelve short and highly energetic tunes. One of my favourite records in 2017.

BEYOND PEACE - S/T 7"

Label:     Hard Art
Year:      2017
Country: USA

Just good old hardcore. And it's really good. Yes!

PURPLE-X - DEMO 2017 CS

Label:     Byllepest
Year:      2017
Country: Norway

Norway has always been a great place when we are talking about hardcore and Purple-X is another great example. This new band takes the classic sound of '80s X-Port Plater releases and fuses it with gloomy deathrock and current hardcore not unlike Crazy Spirit. What a banger!

NATURAL MAN & THE FLAMIN' HOT BAND - S/T CS

Label:     Mutants 4 Nuclear Waste
Year:      2017
Country: USA

This is truely one of the best cassette release I have heard in a long time. Unique 100% non-conformist punk with weird sax-parts and great melodies. A real scorcher!

STRANGE MOTEL - S/T CS

Label:     Sexy Romance
Year:      2017
Country: Australia

Dark post-punk/indie from Australia. There are some hints of early Flying Nun bands and Siltbreeze release, but in the end it's Strange Motel's own unique style. What a blast!
